Gala Apples | USA Home Delivery | Wholesale | Bulk | Export

The Gala Apple is known for its sweetness and mild flavor, making it an excellent choice for applesauce. These apples showcase a vibrant red color with streaks of yellow or green, and their shape is round and symmetrical. Gala Apples are distinct for their incredibly sweet taste and a texture that is crisp, yet not as firm as other varieties, making them a versatile option for a variety of uses. Originating from New Zealand in the 1930s, Gala apples have gained significant popularity in the United States for their adaptability in recipes and freshness when eaten raw. The flesh of Gala Apples is juicy and has a fine texture, with a lower acid content that complements their sweetness, making them ideal for fresh eating, juicing, salads, and, notably, for making a smooth, flavorful applesauce. They also work well in ciders, blending seamlessly with other apple varieties to create a balanced taste. Low in calories, Gala apples are a good source of soluble dietary fiber and contain vitamins: A, B-complex (including thiamine, riboflavin, and niacin), C (antioxidant), and K, making them a nutritious addition to any diet. Order by the pound, with one pound typically comprising 2-3 apples, depending on their size.
